Hello, my name is Gloria Hass and I want to personally welcome you to my home on the Internet.
I am very excited about my cookbook and I hope you will be too! You might be wondering why I wrote this type of
cookbook.
My parents cared about people and my father would give people that had been incarcerated a second chance in life. My
parents cared about their community and were very involved in my life: they wanted to know who my friends were, they
knew all of our neighbors and their children - you get the picture.
I was raised to care about the less fortunate and to help others when I could.
Growing up, I have been to my share of progressive dinners sponsored by the church I attended. I really enjoyed them
and wondered how everyone came up with their menu. I didn't know how much work went into planning parties and
progressive dinners until I was older.
 When I moved into my own apartment, I wanted to entertain. I enjoyed baking and cooking for others. I wanted everyone
to have a wonderful time. People enjoyed my parties and looked forward to the next one! The hardest part about having
parties was coming up with the menu.
I heard people tell me they would host their own parties if it wasn't so much work.
The other reason why I wrote my cookbook. I have seen many cookbooks and have enjoyed looking through them as well as purchasing
a few. What I haven’t seen is a cookbook that gives suggestions on how you can give back to your community with wonderful old time
recipes and decorating ideas.
Thus, my cookbook was born!
 In Giving Back to Your Community cookbook, you will find 170 mouthwatering recipes that you will be able to successfullly
make in your home! There are also wheat-free and vegetarian recipes. I have also included a recipe for dog biscuits.
